This is #1 in our 3rd set of 7 health series for bone health:
.

Osteopenia is a reduced bone mass or softening of the bones. Osteoporosis is a weakening of the bones that increases your immediate risk of a fracture.

Worldwide fractures occur every 3 seconds from osteoporosis.

The best way to assess your bone health is though a bone density test through a dual X-ray absorptiometry, which is also called a DXA or DEXA.

You want your T scores to be positive numbers when you get your DXA results back. If they fall between -1.0 to -2.5 you have osteopenia and if it is greater than -2.5 you have osteoporosis.

Follow me next week for functional treatment options that can increase your bone density at ANY age if you are willing to do the work & the answer is NOT calcium!
